The flight of the phoenix
In 2018, when we started augsmachado.com, my friends and I had a dream: to build a software house. We wanted to become Brazil's leading technology company, but we had no idea how complex that journey would be. In the beginning, we were four founding members using the Fatec Campinas labs, but as financial and social realities set in, I was the only one who remained. Each of my friends took a different path, and that’s when my real journey began.
After nearly six years, Augs had gained a solid base of international clients, established strategic partnerships, and achieved a sustainable business model. We had surpassed the critical five-year mark (only 22.1% of companies reach this milestone [2]), yet something still felt off for our team.
Augs was founded to develop and implement software, but what truly drives our team is data. In 2023 and 2024, LinkedIn recognized me as a Top Voice in Portuguese for writing about data and its many applications. Our core products were either data-focused or originated from data-driven solutions. By 2024, we reached a consensus—our name wasn’t the only thing that needed to change. It was time to redefine our mission, vision, and values.
